Wandler shines, but Thunder come up short

The Langley Thunder came up just short in their quest to break into the win column.
Hosting the Victoria Shamrocks on Sunday (June 2) at Langley Events Centre, the Junior A lacrosse squad fell 6-5, dropping their record to 0-7 in the BC Junior A Lacrosse League.
Langley’s Brayden Wandler was spectacular in goal, finishing with 53 saves (.898 save percentage) as the Thunder were outshot 59-46) with the Shamrocks’ Angus Snow posting an .891 save percentage following his 41-save performance.
Nathan Roseborsky (1-1) and Nathaniel Leroux (0-2) had two-point games for Langley with Bailey Vanichuk, Calum Munro, Ethan Quinn and Brayden Bushnoe scoring once apiece for Langley.
Greyson Thompson (2-3) and Jett Klassen (3-2) each posted five-point games for the Shamrocks.
Up next for the Thunder is a home game against the Delta Islanders on June 6 (7:00pm) at Langley Events Centre.
