Timbermen Preparing for Home Opener

An offensive game to start the BCJALL season for the Nanaimo Timbermen on Saturday. The Delta Islanders took an 18-12 win after outscoring Nanaimo 7-5 in the first, 5-2 in the second, and 6-5 in the third. Delta outshot the Tmen 57-46.

Veteran Corey Shires was the key to Nanaimo's offense with a six goal and two assist performance. Brett Hawrys and Travis Mickelson each had four points as well.

his Saturday May 3rd is the home opener against the New Westminster Salmonbellies at 5:00PM at Frank Crane Arena.

The 'Bellies open up in Langley on Thursday night. Nanaimo will also be in action on Sunday May 4th on the road in Coquitlam.
