Timbermen Partner with Red Shirt Foundation
The Nanaimo Junior and Senior ‘A’ Timbermen are honoured to be partnering with the Red Shirt Foundation for the 2015 Season to STOP Workplace Violence.
Throughout the 2015 season; all Timbermen Players will wear a “RED SHIRT” sticker on their helmets to show we are united. Timbermen players will create “STOP Workplace Violence” videos, and on June 14th when the Senior ‘A’ Timbermen take on the Coquitlam Adanacs, $1.00 from each ticket will be donated to the Red Shirt Foundation.
The Red Shirt Foundation was created following the devastating mill shooting last year where it took the lives of Michael Lunn and Fred McEachern, and their goal is to provide resources and tools to enable people to create healthy, safe workplace environments where violence cannot thrive.
Tali Campbell, Director of Marketing for the Timbermen couldn’t be any more proud to partner with the Red Shirt Foundation. “Last April our entire community forever changed and now together, we keep united to stop workplace violence and the Nanaimo Timbermen are doing what we can to help.”
