Timbermen acquire Pavan from Saints

The Nanaimo Jr. A Timbermen have acquired the playing rights to Quinton Pavan from the Port Coquitlam Saints.

Pavan is 5' 11" and 175lbs. and left handed. In a limited capacity last season for the Saints, Pavan played 8 games accumulating 6 goals, 4 assists for 10 points and 0 penalty minutes.

Son of Rick and Sandi Pavan; siblings Kyle and Kayla; Quinton is currently a Junior and attending the University of the District of Columbia studying Childhood Education and playing field lacrosse for the Firebirds Mens Field Lacrosse team.

General Manager Jon Nicholson states "Quinton will help our left handed transition game with the departure of Cole Kryworuchka and Jeremy Roe; and should help develop and mentor our younger players this upcoming season."

"Pavan was called up alongside Daryl DeFreitas and Connor Leies for our Sr. clubs last regular season game in Coquitlam" said Nicholson. "His relentless work eithic last season showed in that final senior game and our organization felt he would be a tremendous asset to us if we could acquire his rights for the 2016 BCJALL season."

"We lost a number of talented athletes through graduation. Our 2016 roster will most likely be built on youth (96's & '97's) and by adding a few more 1995's, we hope it will improve our team and decrease the learning curve our younger players will have to endure as they transition their games from midget to Intermediate and finally to our Junior club" Nicholson states.
