Thank You to Our Fans and Volunteers
The Langley Junior Thunder want to thank their fans and friends who have supported them throughout the season!
The Jr. Thunder finished the season off with a memorable 9-12 record which left them fifth in the BCJALL.
In the first round of the playoffs, the Thunder matched up against the Port Coquitlam Saints. On Tuesday (July 12th) they fought tirelessly to a 7-6 overtime loss in Port Coquitlam. The rematch happened two days later on Thursday (July 14th) inside the Langley Events Centre but the Jr. Thunder's season unfortunately came to an end after a 10-1 drubbing with the lone Thunder goal coming from Bobby Kidd.
Kidd's goal would be the last of the season for a Thunder player as the Saints moved on to Round II while the Thunder packed up their locker room.
This season saw many highlights including the immergence of Nathan Mckeigan who in 20 games had 30 goals and 62 points. In the sharing department, Andrew Gresham led the way (behind Mckeigan) for the Thunder with 31 assists in just 14 games.
Thank you to everyone that supported the Jr. Thunder throughout the year including fans and volunteers.
We will see you next year!
