Shamrocks Earn the 'W'

The Nanaimo Timbermen knew it was going to be hard going into the Q Centre on Tuesday, but I don't think they expected what they got at the beginning of the game against the Victoria Shamrocks; the Rocks' would pull away with the 8-5 win.

In the first frame it was all Rocks' as they would score five unanswered goals, Cole Pickup added two while McLean Chicquen, Jake Cullen and Colin Bashford added one each.

Dane Sorensen would get the Timbermen on the board in the second, but it was quickly answered by the Shamrocks who would score two goals to take the 7-1 lead heading into the third period.

Sorensen would start the period off for the Timbermen, followed by a quick Rocks' goal. The Timbermen would then score three unanswered goals but it wasn't enough as the Shamrocks would take the 8-5 win.

Cody Short and Darrin Wilson each added a goal while Dane Sorensen would add one to get his hat trick on the night.

Up next the Timbermen have a double header at home versus the Coquitlam Adanacs.
