The Langley Thunder (10-8) defeated the Nanaimo Timbermen (2-14-1) on Sunday night, 17-8.

Coming off a thrilling victory over the Shamrocks on Saturday night, the Thunder looked to keep their momentum going against the Timbermen. That is exactly what they did matching Saturday's goal output of 17 goals. Langley had a 5-goal first period, 7-goal second period and a 5-goal third to chop down the T-Men.

Langley was led by Ryan Martel who had 5 goals and 5 assists, Intermedia A call-up Connor Watson had 2 goals and 3 assists, while Caleb Pearson had 1 goal and 4 assists, and Trevor Chernoff scored 1 goal and 3 assists. Tyson Kirkness and Quinn McKitrick each had a pair of goals, while Kieran McKay, Mason Hicks, Nathaniel Kozevikov and Mackenzie Rope had the other goals for the Thunder.

Langley has a back-to-back this week first hosting the Delta Islanders (4-13) on Thursday night inside the Langley Events Centre at 7:30pm. On Friday, they will visit the Poco Rec Centre when they take on the Saints (9-8) at 8:00pm.
