Despite a five-goal game from Calum Munro, the Langley Thunder fell 16-8 on Saturday in Nanaimo in BC Junior A Lacrosse League action.

The Timbermen came flying out of the gates, scoring five times in the opening 5:30 and Langley was in catch-up mode the rest of the way. Nanaimo led 8-2 after a period before Langley won the middle stanza, 5-4, but any thoughts of a comeback were quashed with the Timbermen tallying four of the final five goals.

Munro (5-1) led Langley with a six-point game with Ben Gagnon (1-1), Jack Dulong (1-1) and Mac Timms (1-0) scoring one goal apiece. Brayden Wandler stopped 39 of the 55 shots fired his way.

Nickolas Luitwieler (3-2), Andrew Bowman (2-3), Brendan Jamieson (2-3) and Matt Boas (2-3) all had five-point games for the Timbermen with Keegan Okino making 24 saves on 31 shots.
