Martel's magic continues

Ryan Martel continues to tear up the BC Junior A Lacrosse League.
Martel had five goals and nine points as the Langley Junior Thunder rallied for a 13-12 victory over the Port Coquitlam Saints.
Martel scored the winning goal with 70 seconds to play on Friday night at PoCo Rec Centre as the Thunder won back-to-back games for the first time this season, improving to 4-3 in the process. The Saints fell to 4-2-2.
In four games, Martel is annihilating opposing goaltenders, with 11 goals and 24 points in just four games.
Langley was down two goals with less than nine minutes to play but Tesi Oakes and Dylan Mcintosh pulled the team even and Martel struck for the go-ahead goal.
The Thunder were down 3-2 after one period and 10-9 after 40 minutes before rallying for the victory.
Nathaniel Kozevnikov had three goals and five points while Connor Watson had two goals and two helpers. Mcintosh and Nathan Mckeigan had a goal and pair of helpers apiece while Caleb Pearson finished with three assists.
Torin Vanrheenen finished with 32 saves in the Langley goal.
Next up for the Thunder is a home game at Langley Events Centre on May 31 at 7:30 p.m. versus the Coquitlam Junior Adanacs.
