Make it Four In a Row

by Trevor McManus

The Langley Junior A Thunder continued their roll improving to 4-0 on the season.

Playing in the second leg of back-to-backs the Thunder roared out to a six-goal first period. That was enough for them to win the game, even though they did not let their foot off the gas. Langley had a two-goal second and a three-goal third to sink the Burnaby Lakers 11-5.

After Jake Sundar's Superman-like appearance in Wednesday's clash against the Adanacs, it was Torin Vanrheenen's time to shine inside the Thunder's crease. Vanrheenen made 45 stops on the night, had a .900 save percentage and even picked up two assists in Thursday's outing.

The Thunder's attack was led by Dawson Rodin (1G, 4A), Nathan Mckeigan (2G, 3A), Ryan Martel (2G, 2A), and Mitch McDole (2G, 1A).

Langley is back on the road when they visit the Victoria Shamrocks (3-2) on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 5:00pm inside the Q Centre.
