Khan returns, Thunder pick up Richardson for 2027

Marcus Khan will be back between the pipes for the Langley Thunder.

Langley has re-acquired Khan, along with the 2027 playing rights of Malcolm Richardson, from the Coquitlam Adanacs, to complete a trade made earlier this season between the two clubs.

Khan joined Coquitlam for the stretch drive of the BC Junior A Lacrosse League season, helping the Adanacs advance to the league finals.

Over 17 games – a dozen with Langley and five with the Adanacs – Khan had a .859 save percentage and goals against average of 6.95. Those ranked second and third, respectively, in the league.

Richarson is a 6-1 left-handed high scoring forward from Coquitlam who attends The Lawrenceville School, a top prep school in New Jersey. A highly touted recruit entering his senior year of high school, Richardson is already committed to attend Penn State.

He has also spent time the past few summers playing for Team BC.

“Malcolm is a scoring threat every time he touches the ball, possessing both elite vision and a great shot and should fit in seamlessly with our offence, thanks to some of his familiarity with our players,” said Thunder general manager Ryan Williams.
