His contributions don't usually show up on the scoresheet, but captain Anthony Kalinich's impact has been recognized with a weekly league honour.

Kalinich was named the BC Junior A Lacrosse League third star of the week on June 19, slotting behind Port Coquitlam's Carson Rees (three games played, four goals, seven assists) and Delta's Brody Harris (two games played, .755 save percentage).

Kalinich didn't register any points in his team's two games but provided steady leadership to the club's defensive corps as they went 1-1, losing 10-4 to Coquitlam before bouncing back to defeat Burnaby 12-8.

The Thunder's next game will see Kalinich and his teammates try and slow Rees and the PoCo Saints on Thursday (June 20) at Langley Events Centre. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
