Corey Shires of the Nanaimo Timbermen is the British Columbia Junior A Lacrosse League Player of the Week. He had six goals and two assists in an 18-12 loss to Delta on Saturday. Last season Corey was Nanaimo's third leading scorer with 69 points, and he's been with the Tmen since he was used as a call up in 2010. Shires is the co-leading scorer in the league after Week One along with Delta's Eli McLaughlin. Four players had six point games - Aidan Milburn and Randy Jones of the Lakers, Matt Hamilton of the Shamrocks and Langley's Brett Dobray.
