Come Back Falls Short

It was another high scoring game between the Timbermen and the Islanders at the Island Savings Centre where the Islanders would pull away with the 15-12 win.

The Islanders would pull away in the first period with the 5-3 lead, Chase Anderson, Dane Sorensen and Alec Molander would get the three goals for the Timbermen.

In the Second Period the Timbermen would get the first goal of the period by Dane Sorensen but from there the Islanders would score six unanswered goals until at 4:07 where Alec Molander would add one, but it was shortly retaliated by the Islanders to end the period 12-5.

The Timbermen in the third period would add two quick goals, first by Daryl DeFreitas which would be his first BCJALL goal and second by local Duncan boy Adam Golia. Islanders would answer with one by Chase Fraser but then the Timbermen would add four unanswered goals; Cody Clark, Connor Leies, Brett Hawrys and Alec Molander all would add one.

With an empty net for the Timbermen, they would try and add more but a missed shot would hit the back boards and go the other way and score on the empty netter; goal would be credited to Tre Leclaire.

Both teams would add one more goal each to end the game 15-12 for the Islanders.
